Birol Güven was born on May 1, 1964 in Darıca, Turkey. After finishing at Gebze High School, he studied and graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University. After teaching English at a school for a while, Güven worked as a tour guide. He met Gani Müjde and started writing screen plays with him. He founded his own company Mint. Since 1997, Güven has written screen plays and produced many TV dramas such as “Ayrılsak da Beraberiz”, “Çocuklar Duymasın”, “En Son Babalar Duyar”, “Kadın İsterse”, “OKS Anneleri”, Dersimiz: Atatürk (2010). He has also written books including Teneke Üzerine Midyeden Sosyeteyle Suşiye and Yatak Odası Diyalogları.
