Ioakim Mylonas was born in 1977. He studied BA(Hons) Communication with Film at Anglia Polytechnic University of Cambridge. He went on to do his MA in Film Directing at Northern Film School in Leeds where he graduated with distinction. His short films ‘Chronos’, ‘pharmakon’, ‘Oedipus’ and ‘Greenhouse’ have participated in many film festivals around the world winning awards, with ‘pharmakon’ being the first Cypriot official participation in competition at Venice Film Festival. Founding member of ‘Klein Mein Audiovisual Productions and Advertising’ and also the Artistic Director of ‘International Short Film Festival of Cyprus’. Member of the European Film Academy.
