Nejc Saje was born in 1976 in Ljubljana. He studied photography at High school for Design and Photography in Ljubljana and graduated in 1997. The next year he and other young artists established a multi-media artist group Strup and since then within this group he experimentally and professionally deals with photography, animation, film, video, theatre and all fusions of the above. The main field of his artistic interest has always been photography, especially portraits and film photography. Lately he has also been active also as a video maker, animator and director of photography for various projects (music videos, documentaries, short films, animated films, theatre). Nejc Saje is known for his work on Dvorisce (2006), Lisica v lisicjem jeziku (2009) and Rudi Omota: Hidden Chapter of Slovenian Cinematography (2004).
