Mitja Mlakar was born in 1988 in Maribor, Slovenia. He is a director and screenwriter, co-founder and one of the leading team members of Film Factory together with Mojca Pernat, Miha Å ubic and Simon Komar. In 2013 he received the Award for important cultural achieve- ments of the University of Maribor and the Award for Perspective Young Film- makers from the Association of Slovenian Filmmakers. In 2014 Mitja was the Artist in Residence at the Slovenian Arts & Culture Residency in London.
