Daniel Burlac was born in Brasov Romania. He has graduated film directing at FEMIS - Paris, and for 20 years has worked on a host of film productions. He is one of Romania's most successful producers, working on such award-winning films as Corneliu Porumboiu's 12:08 East of Bucharest (2006), and Cristian Mungiu's 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) as well as Bogdan Apetri's Periferic and Gabriel Achim's Adalbert's Dream. Last year, he co-produced Albert Serra's Golden Leopard-winning Story of my death. Burlac is now developing Armenian director Nora Martirosyan's feature debut Territoria with the French company Heolfilms.
