Dragan Maksimovic nicknamed Maks, was a Serbian actor. He was born on February 7, 1949 in Podujevo, Serbia. Dragan performed in more than sixty theatrical plays, movies and TV productions, between 1971 and 1999. His debut was in National Theatre in Belgrade playing Soldier in play "Mother courage and her Children", 1971. On 17 November, 2000, Maksimovic was brutally attacked in Zeleni Venac, in day-time, by a group of FK Rad supporters (after their team lost a match against Obilic), who assumed he was Romani. He died on 4 February 2001 in the hospital. Dragan was known for Pretty Village, Pretty Flame (1996), Meetings with Remarkable Men (1979) and Usijanje (1979).
