Emil Glad was born on June 25, 1929 in Nova Kapela, Croatia, Yugoslavia. Glad was a long-time member of Gavella Drama Theatre, from its foundation in 1954 until his retirement in 1994. His film credits include Lapitch the Little Shoemaker and The Magician's Hat. He was an actor, known for Smogovci (1982), The Elm-Chanted Forest (1986) and The Magician's Hat (1990). He was married to Ruzica. He died on August 28, 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia.
