The Cinesquare platform continues to bring the best European children`s films to young audiences! More than 25 carefully selected films for children from 6 to 12 years old are now available for viewing in the country through the Kidsquare catalog – and at a promotional price of only 1 euro!

The catalog includes top European children`s films, including: "Checkered Ninja", "Ogglies: Welcome to Smellville", "Lucy Wanted", "The Young Chief Winnetou", "Summer Rebels", "Wow! Message from Outer Space", "Victoria Must Go", "Even Mice Belong in Heaven" and many others.

Kidsquare enriches the film offer with gamification elements, providing children with an interactive experience through games and quizzes related to the films, with users collecting points that they can use for additional entertainment.

“Our goal is to bring high-quality European children’s content closer to a wider audience, in an accessible and innovative way. With Kidsquare, we are creating a unique experience that combines film, education and entertainment, and the price of only 1 euro allows as many children as possible to enjoy this creative content,” says Kataway.

Kidsquare films are available through the Cinesquare.net platform, as part of a project coordinated by Cutaway in partnership with Nowe Horyzonty (Poland) and Nexo Digital (Italy), co-financed by the Creative Europe – MEDIA programme.

Kidsquare is a pan-European initiative aimed at promoting and distributing European audiovisual content for children aged 6 to 12. By integrating gamification elements such as quizzes and interactive activities, Kidsquare enhances the viewing experience, making it more dynamic and engaging for young audiences. The project also fosters a cross-border exchange of cultural content, ensuring that diverse European stories reach children across different territories.

Kidsquare is already available in multiple territories, including North Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Italy, Poland, and as part of its mission to make high-quality European children`s films more accessible, the Kidsquare initiative has expanded to Slovenia. The goal is to further expand the platform’s reach, ensuring that children across Europe have access to a curated selection of quality European films tailored to their interests and needs.

Slovenia has a strong tradition of supporting cultural and educational initiatives for young audiences. The initiative aligns with broader European efforts to strengthen cultural diversity, promote media literacy, and support local film industries through increased distribution opportunities.

Kidsquare is co-financed by Creative Europe – MEDIA, the European Union’s program dedicated to supporting the audiovisual sector, through the call European VOD networks and operators, which aims to support European Video on Demand (VOD) networks and operators, screening a significant proportion of non-national European works, with the aim to improve their competitiveness and attractiveness. The backing from Creative Europe highlights the importance of fostering European cooperation in film education and ensuring that culturally rich and diverse content reaches young audiences across the continent. The program also emphasizes inclusivity, accessibility, and the promotion of European storytelling, all of which are key pillars of the Kidsquare initiative.
