“When the day had no name” to be distributed in Asia

Macedonian film When the day had no name by Teona Strugar Mitevska, which is realized with the supported by the Macedonian Film Agency, during June and July is shown on two festivals, Sydney International Film Festival in Australia and also at the famous Jerusalem Film Festival in Israel.

On the Sydney Film Festival, which was held from 7 to 18 June, the film had two screenings, on 8 and 11 June, as part of the program “Europe! Voices of Women in Film”. This program was jointly organized by EFP and the Sydney Film Festival, and is supported by the international film magazine Screen International, where there was a special announcement for each of the films and their directors. Teona Strugar Mitevska in Sydney presented the film and was part of the conference that the festival is organized with a focus on new visions of women directors from Europe.

The film will be presented at the film festival in Jerusalem from 13 to 23 July, which is one of the oldest and most prestigious festivals in the world. The film will be shown twice in the Panorama selection. This is the second presentation of Teona on this festival, after previous participation with I`m from Titov Veles.

Besides participation on festivals, the sales agent of the film Cercamon, ensured its distribution in Asia, which will make it one of the few Macedonian films to be shown in cinemas across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Philippines and East Timor.
After the screening of the film at the Cannes market, there are ongoing negotiations for its European distribution.
