The Croatian Government introduces a new law that forbids the Homeland War widows to live with their new partners if they want to continue receiving their late husband’s pension. The Ministry establishes a secret unit in charge of investigating all widows who might be transgressing against the state. One of these investiga- tors is Krešo, a 40-year-old married man, who will try to win several widows’ trust by falsely posing as their late husband’s comrade- in-arms.
