I Dream of My Friends

Synopsis:

The film unfolds within a time span of twenty-five years, from 1965 to 1990 and is something like a road movie about the generation of today's fifty year-olds. The film shows the main character, Kyriakos, from the age of twenty-five to the time he turns fifty and from the West Germany of 1965 to the Athens of 1990. A film of travels, meetings and personal assessments, a man's film, unique in one respect: it is a film without women. So, Panayotopoulos dreams of his friends "without women" in what is his most personal film to date: one has the feeling of sneaking into a closed circuit of memories, of eavesdropping on the director's private conversation with his ghosts.
