Synopsis:

At the age of 17 Eleni leaves the island of Karpathos. Twenty years later she is living in Los Angeles with her husband and children. She spends her time looking after the children and running the family's Greek restaurant. An unexpected event upsets everything. Eleni's childhood sweetheart Aris comes to America from the island looking for her. Suddenly what she once longed for now becomes a source of pain. Eleni must make a difficult decision: leave all she has - her life, her children, her husband - and follow her dream or settle for what is now clearly a dreary and lonely existence?
