The film is about a journey undertaken by a bunch of senior citizens who have suffered much in life, who arm themselves with their despair in order to chase a dream: to become shipping magnates like Onassis, to get a boat, to do all those things they didn't do when they were young. With this dream they leave for Bogota and the jungles of Colombia. Years ago the fifth member of their group had taken off with all their savings in order to buy their ship. Only he disappeared and they never heard from him since. So now they decide to go after him in a journey during which all their innermost secrets, their hopes, their friendship and the limits of their endurance will be put to the test. And the more their strength fails them, the more the ship now becomes their life purpose. A life that came, a life that went, a charmed life... When they find the ship and traces of their vanished friend it will be too late. They discover that maybe it was always too late only they hadn't realised it earlier. But rather than sit around and wait for death on some park bench or old age home, Patrice Vivancos' heroes decide to meet it head on.
