Agreement between Kosovo Film Center and the Sarajevo Film Festival

Five students from Kosovo will have the opportunity to attend the biggest festival of Southeast Europe. They will be part of a special program at the Sarajevo Film Festival , where during their stay will watch films, will attend lectures and exchange contacts and ideas with colleagues from the region.

 Kosovo Film Center  and the Sarajevo Film Festival  said that this agreement will come into function this year so students from Kosovo will visit  SFF for five days in August 2015.

The agreement was finalized in Cannes between Mirsad Purivatra , the director of Sarajevo Film Festival    and the director of QKK, Arben Zharku .

"With this cooperation we are determined to carry forward this platform for support to Kosovo`s new talents, the country has already proved itself as an important part of the region. My team and I strongly believe that the contacts and links established in Sarajevo will open new cooperation opportunities for young filmmakers and thus strengthen the Kosovar cinematography “, added Purivatra.

"Wonderful platform offers Sarajevo Film Festival is an open door for Kosovar artists meet the artists from the region and further afield, and also a great opportunity to be part of the wonderful lectures that always brings SFF" added Zharku.

Founded in 1995 during the siege of Sarajevo in the Bosnian war of independence, Sarajevo Film Festival is one of the biggest festivals in Europe.This year will be the 21th edition of the festival and will be held in August 2015 with a wide range of films from all over the world competing in several categories.
