On this year`s edition of the Shanghai Film Festival, the film “Kharms”, which is co-production between Russia, Lithuania and Macedonia, won two awards.
Russian writer-director Ivan Bolotnikov was awarded the Best Screenplay Award for his biographical drama "Kharms". The film’s director of photography, Shandor Berkeshi, was given the Award for Best Cinematography. "Kharms" was structured as a Russian-Lithuanian-Macedonian co-production.
The Shanghai Film Festival concluded its 20th edition on 26 June. The Golden Goblet Award for Best Feature Film, given out by a jury chaired by Romanian Palme d’Or winner Cristian Mungiu, was awarded to "Pedicab", directed by Paolo Villaluna of the Philippines. The Jury Grand Prix went to the Iranian film "Yellow", helmed by Mostafa Taghizadeh. "Yellow"’s lead, Sareh Bayat, was named Best Actress.
