The exclusive group of 20 up-and-coming producers selected for the 18th edition of EFP`s networking platform PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE (May 19 – 23) has come together at the Cannes Film Festival. These most promising young producers from all over Europe are taking part in a tailor-made programme to exchange experiences and join forces for new trans-national co-productions. The programme also includes a case study for the film Directions with director and producer Stephan Komandarev and producer Vladimir Anastasov. The Bulgarian-German-Macedonian co-production premieres in the UN CERTAIN REGARD section of the festival. Picking up important trends in the film industry the event also includes a session on content for virtual reality followed by a meeting with ARTE`s Kay Meseberg (The Head of 360 /Virtual Reality).
During the five-day event between May 19 and 23, the exclusive group enjoys a tailor-made programme of roundtable pitching sessions, 1:1 speed dating, case studies, including one in co-operation with the pan-European co-production fund Eurimages,as well as other industry meetings. All of these events are being organized to support the exchange of experiences and help create new professional networks. The longstanding programme is financially backed by the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the European Union and the participating EFP member organisations.
This year`s group of Producers on the Move includes Zoran Galic, Vizart Film (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Mila Voinikova, Miramar Film (Bulgaria), Petra Vidmar, Gustav Film (Slovenia), Iuliana Tarnovetchi, Alien Film (Romania), Jovana Nikolic, Prababa Production (Serbia).
